Business for introverts

Some people like to be in the spotlight, and others like to keep a lot of thoughts and energy internally and process things differently.

I'm not going to lie, I spent quite a bit of time watching YouTube vids and looking at Instagram feeds and stories of influencers when I was on the "inspiration" and fantasizing stages of starting my businesses. I told myself that I have to be an outspoken know it all that likes to get in front of people and talk and sell all day. It's not true! Not everyone has to follow that model.
I think a lot of what can make or break your successes in life is knowing who you are and what your strengths are. You have to be a little introspective and ask yourself a few questions to really know who you are. What do I like to do in my free time? What personally excites me? If I could choose how I spend a typical day what would I be doing? What would I rather outsource or get someone else to do? If I truly want to get up in the morning and be personally motivated to continue and sustain a business for many years to come how should I spend my time?

For me, I have always loved reading, writing, drawing and creating. Ever since I was a little girl I would love to draw different variations of things I thought were cool and my friends and family would hang them up onto gallery walls to display my work. I have always preferred writing to public speaking and I would much rather be in my room by myself reading than at a party being the center of attention. For many business owners it's not possible to excuse themselves from doing speaking engagements, selling vigorously or being a spokesperson. Not possible until it became so easy because of the internet and having all the tools and information a girl could possibly want at your fingertips.

In the last few days only, I've created websites and instagram feeds. Also, created products and researched every aspect of my business. I've integrated with print fulfillment companies, communicated virtually with suppliers in China and created online stores all without having to talk to people. Because of CO-VID I also have researched most things online and I think it's possible to be successful without having to be the loudest one in the room or being an aggressive seller.
I have really played to my strengths and want to support all entrepreneurs that want to run their business how they like. My partner is more outspoken and likes a lot of the things that I don't "prefer to do". If you can find someone that say handles the taxes, or likes to call customer support then you should outsource those tasks. I prefer to keep to product creation, marketing, big picture strategic thinking which help to grow and start businesses and pay someone to handle small details to save me time in the long run instead of stressing over it.
